Dear Room 17  Families,

Please remember that during the COVID 19 Shutdown, I am using the following 3 platforms to keep in touch with my students. 

Language Arts: Google Classroom/class dojo

Math: Khan Academy/class dojo

Science: Google Classroom/class dojo

If your child does not login to these platforms, they will miss important detailed information.

 Life Science: We have started Life Sciences

Language Arts: We are on Unit 5, Week 2 technology. (on hold during Covid 19 shutdown)

 AR STAR TESTING: Students may take their AR tests when they return from the school shutdown. They are not permitted to test at home.   All students must work to meet their AR goal . This is 20% of their reading grade. Getting SOME AR points is better than getting none, as the AR grade that goes into the gradebook will be either 100% if the student met the AR goal OR the percentage of AR completed toward the goal.   Students must have an AR book with them at all times. 

MATH: We just started Chapter 5, Division.  Students have started taking multiplication timed tests, and have been exposed to the Math performance task. They are learning to critique and provide feedback of other student work shared on the camera.
